Water feature ideas are as follows:-

Pond Feature: You can set a pond in the ground, above ground or in a waterproof container. Install a tiny water garden pond in your landscape. You can either purchase it from garden centers or create your own one. It is recommended to create it in a water-tight container. Once created, place it at a place where it can get some direct sunlight. Put some river rock in the container and aquarium plants to oxygenate the water. You can give an attractive touch by placing some rocks around the edges of the pond.

Waterfall: Water works its magic on any landscape. It provides a focal point and peaceful sounds. A waterfall over a pond brings a naturalistic beauty. You can use rocks and vinyl liner to build a waterfall. Decorate the waterfall with plants and flowers around it.

Pondless Waterfall: This type of waterfall is really eye-catchy. It’s being very popular these days. Here, the water runs into an underground basin, instead of moving into a pond. The biggest advantage is that there will be no standing water. It is also energy efficient, as it can be turned off when there’s no one to enjoy it.

Large Fountain: If you have a good amount of space in your landscape, go for a large fountain. You can make it with concrete, stone or tile. Basically, the fountain comes out from the middle of the pool. You can add beauty by placing some plants and fish in the pool.

Small Fountain: This type of fountain is a cost-effective outdoor water feature. This feature doesn’t require plumbing. Its built-in water pump circulates the same water through the fountain over and over. This can be a fantastic feature near the entry way to mesmerize your guests.

Pots & Urns: You can create a beautiful water feature by using pots and urns. First, drill the bottom of the urn in order to accept the plumbing parts. Then place the urn on a basin and make sure it catches the overflowing water. You can either dig a hole to place the basin or simply place it above the ground. Surround the basin with some rocks and plants. This amazing water feature creates soothing sounds of water.

While choosing a water feature, you should keep in mind on how to get electricity to it and water to replenish evaporation. However, a pleasing water feature will bring many years of peace and enjoyment.
