Artificial Christmas Trees Save Christmas

You get dragged out to a Christmas Tree lot where you stand out freezing in the cold looking at 100's of Christmas trees looking for the prefect tree. That ones to tall, this ones flat on one side, this one is dead, until finally someone picks a tree because they are to cold to look any further. You shove the tree in the back of the van or the top of the car and haul it home. You cut the end off with the dull saw that you use once a year for this purpose. Your hands are full of sap, even though you had gloves on and you arms are red from being pricked by needles.
Finally you get the tree inside, you place the tree in the 50 year old tree stand that your parents passed down (after they got a fake tree). You lay on the ground while needles drop all over you while some one centers the tree. You get up and check it out and then center some more. After about 20 minutes you wonder why you could have picked one with a straight trunk. Finally the tree is in the stand. Fill with warm water which is impossible to get in the stand until finally you are using a small glass to water the tree.
After the tree is in the stand, out comes the vacuum. Seems like the vacuum is only picking up a few needles. After the vacuum, the family decorates the tree while you go get the sap off of your hands. 20 minutes later, your hands red and raw you help string the lights only to get poked all over again and yes, more sap. Back to the washroom. Finally the tree is up, decorated and out comes the vacuum again. After that, you crawl under the tree to put the tree skirt on. More pokes, but thank fully no sap.
The next night, you sit in your Chair staring at your beautiful tree, with the kid's ornaments and the scent, it's so worth it... and then out comes the vacuum. Bah Humbug.
Compare that to this Artificial Christmas Trees Story.
You go down to your heated basement and fetch the artificial Christmas tree bag and haul it to the living room. You put on a CD, Frank Sinatra singing Christmas tunes. In a few seconds you assemble the base of the tree and put the pole in the center. Wrap the tree skrt around it. Then assemble the tree. This is a prelit artificial Christmas tree so the lights are already in place. You build the tree up, adjusting so you can be a little closer to the wall. You are interrupted in the middle with some eggnog. Maybe a little slow dancing to silent night. The kids roll there eyes so you finish putting the branches in and plugging in the lights as you go. In about 15 minutes the tree is ready for decorations. You pick up the few loose fake needles and you light the pine scented candle. You put the tree bag away and help finish the tree.
